It is not only quantity that wins: when quality is high, that too is strong enough. Size, number, magnitude and extent are a question of quantity, while proportion, character, intensity and depth – of quality. What? is a question of quantity, how? one of quality.

Perhaps that is why it is said that redemption is the concern of the wicked – whoever is good is already redeemed. Quantity – wickedness; quality – goodness.

Everything is only a question of energy, resonance and frequency. Every relationship is an exchange of energies. It is as when several people cook together and each puts some important ingredient into the soup: one brings the water, another the salt, someone else the vegetables, yet another the spices, and one brings the pinch of something special. While one person brings only the pepper. He always brings pepper. And still only pepper. Heaps of pepper. It is all he adds to the soup, always just pepper. He grinds pepper in everyone else's face. What do you put into the shared soup of life? Everything is only energy… bring the best you can, nothing second-rate, not too little, but not so much either that by tomorrow your stores run dry. Handle both quantity and quality with care.

Resonance is the concord of the soup. When you pick out neither the heat nor the savour of coriander, and the taste melts in your mouth into one wondrous concord. Resonance is harmony. There is no conspicuous singularity, no showy self-display or dissonant climax – but harmony revealing itself, majestic and yet overwhelmingly powerful.

Whatever resonates creates accord, and in a higher synthesis multiplies the strength of each component. One and one make not two, but rather three. Resonance is also an answer, an answer to an invitation, a response to a request. A clear request and a sincere answer. If your thoughts, words or deeds are incapable of answering, then you have no need of questions either, for you would not know what to do with them anyway. This too is resonance, an inverse resonance, evaporating into nothing.

And frequency is recurrence – do you eat soup every day? Do you prepare food every day, for the joy of others, or only now and then? And do you eat only when you are hungry, or out of habit even when you are not? How many things you repeat in life, day after day. Some you tire of, others you repeat tirelessly. Life is repetition: soup, every day. And yet life is a mystery that does not wear thin in repetition and turn into routine, but brightens. Life is not a cistern that slowly fills with water and sometimes overflows, but a living spring from which experiencing wells up. From fulfilling comes fulfilment. Repeat your spiritual practices, and you will see that tomorrow the same thing means more. Even stronger, fuller, even more intense, even higher in quality.

The secret of life is a wonder.

The life of the wonder is a secret.

The wonder of the secret is life.

So life is energy itself, and this is also true in reverse: energy is life itself. And life is fed from an inexhaustible spring… Resonance is the harmonious, successful way of life, and it is worth wondering at. And frequency is nothing other than the recurrence of this wondering, the wonder recognised every day, again and again.

Existence is a question of quantity, the how of existence one of quality! Being is an existential statement, and well-being adds a moral quality to it. And fulfilment crowns the striving.
