A golden age? Come now, we live in a decadent, fallen, terrible age, this is no golden age, no heaven, but rather some hellish age of iron. Nothing but suffering, limitation, want and misery. And often suffering or trial arrives in the guise of joy and opportunity. Happiness seldom puts on the garb of suffering…

It is as if man were an eternal captive – captive to his limitations, his sufferings, his habits and his vain hopes. No wonder man would rather seek oblivion – but forgetting the chains and bars is not yet freedom.

The wise say that in the finite world of matter even eternal captivity has its limits. If this captivity were truly eternal and final, then man would have no chance of liberation, then the law would triumph over grace and compassion. But what if this eternal captivity is finite after all? What if it lasts only as long as man deliberately chooses darkness? As long as he wants the gloom of illusion instead of the divine light? As long as he is at the mercy of the mirage? Many assure us: as soon as the soul turns towards the light, its bonds begin to loosen. The trussing rope of fate, karma and sin begins to come undone, the process of enlightenment sets in, and one day man reaches the perfectly pure state of consciousness. He may journey on through lifetimes, but in the end he reaches his goal. To conquer time – this is man's duty.

The material universe is shaped by only a few factors: space and time, information and karma, that is, the chain of cause and effect. Space and time form a cosmic continuum, and the separate segments of space are in the care of its principal players: the gods of the planets, the guardians of the directions, and on a small scale the lords of countries and the heads of families.

Today time is stolen from man by the entertainment industry and ruled by historians and politicians, and on the occult level by lesser mystics, for knowledge of the past, the present and the future is only a first level among the mystical powers.

Science strives to possess information, yet what people know is ruled rather by opinion-makers and the mass media. In days of old this lay in the hands of the clergy, who in their Sunday sermons told people what was happening in the world, and how they ought to behave.

On the cosmic level the storehouse of information is the Akashic Record, the field of information hidden behind the veil of the cosmos. In other words, it is the million coded mantras of supernatural meta-knowledge, which determine all the background information of each cycle of creation, the mode of existence of the whole universe.

Space in the hands of politicians, time in the grip of entertainment, information with the lords of data storage – as if every element of the universe had fallen under false influence. But what of karma? Can karma, too, be usurped? It seems there is no shadow-force that can overrule karma… it strikes when its time is come. Man forgets, karma does not forget.

If you are conscious of space and time, of information and karma, then even in a disintegrating and decadent age the bright golden age of spiritual growth can be realised. At least on a small scale.
